Sometimes, The Soul You Are Meant To Be With Is Not The Person You Are Meant To Be With

The most common expression of human thinking in the sphere of relationships is getting obsessed with a Person while ignoring their (and our) potential as a Soul.

Dear Soul,

When two Souls with a preestablished connection meet on Earth, they will naturally recognize each other. There will be an instant attraction as a result of this recognition, but the potential for a harmonic partnership comes from the Soul, while the potential for division comes from the Person.

Here, I am using the word Person in the strict, literal sense: from the Latin “persona”, person means “personage; a part in a drama or an assumed character”.

Therefore, the potential for division, conflict, and disharmony exists as an inevitable component of our human experience, for we came here to play a role as a person. However, the potential for oneness, communion, and harmony is permanent and unalterable because our identity as Souls precedes our assumed character.

Sometimes, the Soul you are meant to be with is not the Person you are meant to be with—neither are you the Person they are meant to be with, even if you are the Soul. And so, the Person needs to be renewed to match the Soul they truly are.
